Vicente Sánchez is two weeks away from recovery, after which it will then be a coaching decision on his match fitness, following a sprained left knee suffered in the 1-0 win over LA Galaxy on May 3.
The 34-year-old, who is the Rapids' leading scorer this season with five goals, can run, twist and turn but suffers some discomfort with the ball at his feet.
Four of his five goals this season have come from penalty kicks, with the most recent being a MLS Goal of the Week contender in the victory over the Galaxy.
He has since missed the tie at San Jose and the losses to Chivas USA and Real Salt Lake. The Rapids return home this Saturday, to face Montreal Impact, kick-off 7 p.m (TICKETS).
