Rapids look for key points against Santos
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – The games have come fast and furious for the Colorado Rapids in the past six weeks, and there’s certainly no relief in sight this time around either.
Following Friday night’s 1-0 defeat to the LA Galaxy in California, the Rapids flew back to Colorado to prepare quickly for their CONCACAF Champions League Group B game against Santos Laguna of Mexico on Tuesday (10 pm ET, Fox Soccer).

The Colorado Rapids almost made it a perfect seven for seven for MLS clubs in CONCACAF Champions League group-stage play, but had to be content with a 1-1 tie at Real España in Honduras after the home side pinched a late equalizer on Tuesday night.
Julio Rodríguez volleyed in a spectacular shot in the 88th minute after Kosuke Kimura failed to clear with a header. The Uruguayan’s goal answered a first-half from Jeff Larentowicz for the Rapids.

(August 22, 2011) - It was an early morning for the 19 players and nine members of the staff Monday as they met at Dick's Sporting Goods Park at 5:45 am before leaving for Denver International Airport to begin the long journey to Honduras. The Rapids play their second Group B match of the Champions League against Honduran Apertura champion Real España on Tuesday, August 23 at Estadio Morazan in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
