Most weeks I try to hit around 800 words for my post-match column, but I’m at a loss to conjure-up anything new in terms of analysis. Part of me was tempted to take last week’s View from the Booth, open a page to embed a new article and simply press Ctrl/C on my keyboard.
Colorado Rapids skipper Drew Moor will be out for the remainder of the season after an MRI scan on Monday revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and lateral meniscus. He joins fellow-central defender Shane O’Neill on the sidelines. O’Neill received platelet-rich plasma injections on Monday to help facilitate healing of a troublesome sprained right knee.
Dillon Serna is unlikely to score a better goal this season than the one which lit up RFK Stadium on Sunday night, and it is only right that he be among the five contenders for AT&T MLS Goal of the Week.

On the overall match
WASHINGTON – A different opponent brought a similar tale for the Colorado Rapids, who - for the fourth time in a row - fell behind inside the first 15 minutes on their way to a fourth defeat in a row.
This time it was D.C. United who were grateful for an early gift en route to bouncing back from two road reversals to top the Rapids 4-2 on Sunday night, in front of 12,814 fans at RFK Stadium.
