Rapids women hit road for three games in four days

Road trip ends Monday in Seattle against US Olympians Solo, Rapinoe, and Morgan

Commerce City, Colo. - Following their opening day 3-0 win over the Victoria Highlanders at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, the Colorado Rapids Women hit the road this weekend for three matches in four days.

First up is a match at the Vancouver Whitecaps on Friday at Exposition Stadium in British Columbia. The Whitecaps are 0-3-0 early in the season, with two of their losses coming at home.

On Saturday, June 2 the women face a rematch against the Highlanders, who enter the weekend at 1-3-0, at the Royal Athletic Park in Victoria,

The three game road trip ends Monday against the Seattle Sounders (2-0-0) at the Starfire Sports Complex in Washington. After missing the Sounders match last week, recently named U.S. Women's Olympic team members Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, and Sydney Leroux are back and could possibly play against the Rapids on Monday. The Women's next home game is on Friday, June 8 against the Pali Blues (from Los Angeles, California) at Dick's Sporting Goods Park (6 pm MT, TICKETS).
