Youth Academy Tryouts

The Rapids Academy will be holding tryouts for both boys and girls. All tryouts will be held at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. 

All participants in the Colorado Rapids Youth Academy must fill out a participation waiver form.

Please remember to print and fill out both the registration form and waiver form when you arrive at your tryout. 

Tryouts for the 2012-13 Season:

Tryout information meeting (Q&A meeting open to all tryout participants) will be held on Sunday, May 20th at 4:00pm and Monday, May 21st at 7:00pm on the 3rd floor press level of DSGP (please park in the available spaces on 60th st and enter through the Suite Lobby).

Boys Tryouts for U11-U14 will be held as follows:

  • May 29, 30, 31           U11-U12 5:00pm-6:30pm              Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Fields 7-12
  • May 29, 30, 31           U13-U14 8:00pm-9:30pm              Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Fields 7-12

Girls Tryouts for U11-U14 and High School Girls will be held as follows:

  • May 29,30,31             U11, U12 and High School Girls   6:30pm-8:00pm  Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Fields 7-12
  • May 29,30,31             U13 and U14 8:00pm-9:30pm      Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Fields 7-12

Development Academy and High School Boys – 2012/2013 Tryouts

  • July 24,25,26               Players born 1/1/1994-12/31/95 5:00pm-6:30pm  Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Fields 1-4
  • July 24,25,26               Players born on or after 1/1/96 6:30pm-8:00pm  Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Fields 1-4

The Colorado Rapids Academy will hold supplemental tryouts in October to fill spots on the U15/16 and U17/18 Development Academy teams as well as the U15, U16 and U17 Colorado Youth Soccer Teams.  In addition, Colorado Fusion will be holding their team formation sessions at the same time and location giving each player the opportunity to find a competitive team appropriate to his level of ability.

Supplemental Tryouts for the U15 – U18 Boys Age Groups will be held as follows:

Registration will begin one hour prior to the session in the cantina.  Participants should arrive in time to complete a registration form and waiver prior to being assigned a tryout number.
