Academy Athletic Trainer
Dr. Joel Carrithers is a licensed chiropractic physician and licensed athletic trainer.
Dr. Carrithers joined the club in 2012 providing injury prevention and rehabilitation to the Colorado Rapids Developmental Academy. Over the last five years he has stepped into numerous roles with the club, from assisting the pro team’s medical staff to injury evaluation and prevention with younger players of the club.
Dr. Carrithers is a Colorado native, he is a 2011 grad of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his bachelors’ degree specializing in Athletic Training at Mesa State College (Colorado Mesa University) in Grand Junction, Colorado in 2007. While attending Logan College of Chiropractic he worked with Developmental Youth Hockey, and the United Indoor Football League.
When he is not working with the club he runs a private chiropractic sports medicine practice in Lafayette Colorado. (www.mylafayettechiro.com). His post-graduate training is in sports medicine, rehabilitation, and pediatrics. Dr. Joel Carrithers goal as a physician is to provide conservative healthcare. He treats a variety of conditions and helps children, adults, and everyone from the professional athlete to infants.
Dr. Joel Carrithers currently resides in Frederick Colorado with his wife Miranda and two kids Connor and Corbyn.
