Head of Performance
Before joining the Rapids in 2018, Chad Kolarcik spent the previous six years with Seattle Sounders FC as their Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Originally from Pittsburgh, he received his degree in Computer Science, Mathematics and Economics from Duquesne University. He is also completing his masters degree in Applied Sports Science and High Performance Sport from Australian Catholic University. In addition he holds the CSCS accreditation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, FMS Level 2 from Functional Movement Systems, USAW Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting, Postural Restoration Institute - Myokinematic and Pelvis Restoration, Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Before joining Sounders FC, he spent the previous seven years training athletes at the high school, collegiate and professional levels across a variety of sports, including soccer, hockey, baseball, football, rugby, tennis and lacrosse. In addition, during his time in LA, he helped create the physical development programs for the LA Galaxy academy. He holds a U.S. Soccer “D” Coaching License.
