(Rapids fans not attending the game can listen in to the match live via webcast by visiting RhinosSoccer.com).
The Rhinos who are currently in second place in the United Soccer Leagues’ First Division standings showcase a roster full of former Major League Soccer players that include former Rapids players Rey Ángel Martinez and Scott Vallow as well as Jonathan Bolanos (Chicago) Tenywa Bonseu (Chicago Columbus Dallas and MetroStars) Ian Fuller (New England) Shaun Tsakiris (New England) and Roland "Pato" Aguilera (Columbus New England).
The Rapids and the Rhinos clashed in the biggest meeting between the two teams in 1999 when the clubs collided in the U.S. Open Cup championship game on Tuesday September 14.
The Rhinos defeated the Rapids 2-0 at Columbus Crew stadium to conquer the competition and engrave their name onto the Dewar Cup as the 1999 US Open Cup Champions. The only remaining Rapids player that participated in that match is forward Wolde Harris who came in as a sub in the 81st minute of the contest.
Individual Tickets for the exhibition match can be purchased at the Frontier Field Box Office by calling (585) 423-9464 or via the Rhinos website at www.rhinossoccer.com.
