Rapids Make Two Roster Moves

COMMERCE CITY COLO. (Friday March 13 2009) – The Colorado Rapids announced two roster moves today as the team gets closer to rounding out their 24-man roster ahead of their 2009 season opener next week.
The Rapids signed forward Ross Schunk who was a fourth round 47th overall selection in this year’s Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Per club and league policy terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In other roster moves Colorado waived defender Stephen Keel.
Keel leaves the Rapids having appeared in 10 games with seven starts during his four years in Colorado. Last season he posted career highs in games played (6) starts (6) and minutes (540). A local product from Littleton Colorado he captained the Rapids Reserves to consecutive MLS Reserve Division championships in 2006 and 2007.
