Rapids Players to Serve as Guest Bartenders Thursday to Raise Funds for Hurricane Katrina Victims - The Colorado Rapids players have announced they are banding together to put on a fundraising event designed to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Next Thursday night Sept. 22 the Rapids players will serve as guest bartenders to raise money for our fellow Americans suffering in the Gulf Coast area. The event will take place from 7:30-10pm at the Celtic Tavern located at 18th and Blake Streets in Lodo.

Admission is free and the event is for fans 21 and over only. Most if not all of the players on the 2005 Rapids roster are expected to participate and will jump behind the bar to take fans' orders and serve up their drinks. Rapids Head Coach Fernando Clavijo will also be on hand to participate.

All the tips the players collect during the event will go to aid victims of the Hurricane Katrina tragedy.

For more information fans can call the Colorado Rapids at (303) 825-GOAL.
