Mexico vs New Zealand tonight at Invesco

Denver, Colo. (June 1, 2011) - International soccer returns to Denver tonight when the Mexico National Team faces the national team of New Zealand in a friendly at Invesco Field at Mile High. Gates will open at 6:30 pm with kickoff set for 8 pm MT. Tickets for the match are still available and can be purchased at the Invesco Field box office or by CLICKING HERE.

The teams combine to bring players to Colorado that are currently playing professionally in 12 different countries, including Spain, England, Sweden, Australia, China, Holland, Scotland, United States, Canada, Japan, and of course, Mexico and New Zealand.

Mexico, which will be playing their last match before beginning the Gold Cup tournament in Dallas on June 5 against El Salavador, tied Ecuador 1-1 on Saturday in Seattle. New Zealand's last match was a 1-1 tie with China in March and they will next play a friendly against Australia, also on June 5.

The two teams last met on March 3, 2010 at the Rose Bowl in Pasedena, California with Mexico winning 2-0.
