Swansea City bring 23-man roster for U.S. Tour

Commerce City, Colo. - New Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup and a 23-man squad arrived in Colorado on Sunday evening ahead of Tuesday's friendly against the Colorado Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park (7 pm MT).

The English Premier League side's traveling party includes team captain Garry Monk and the Swans’ top scorer last season, Danny Graham (above), who had 12 goals in the club’s first ever season in the English Premier League. The preseason trip to the United States will also be the first chance at action for the club’s newest addition, Spanish attacking midfielder Michu, who was signed last Friday.

“The boys have all returned in good shape, we’ve been doing some double sessions and we’ve got three games in 12 days in America so hopefully we’ll get a good workout from that," striker Graham told SwanseaCity.net, the club's official website. “We’re all really looking forward to it; first and foremost we are going out there to work hard and continue what we have been doing in pre-season.”

The Rapids will hold a training session on Monday from 10-11:30 a.m. on Field 20 and Swansea City are scheduled to train inside the stadium from 10:30-12 pm. Rapids coach Oscar Pareja and Laudrup, as well as a player from each side, will then take part in a press conference in the Porsche Chairman's Club immediately following both training sessions.

A special two-pack, which includes a ticket to the Swansea City International Friendly and the September 5 match against the Portland Timbers for $40, is also available.
