The Colorado Rapids Women defeated the Bay Area Breeze 3-1 on Tuesday night in California, stretching the winning streak to four consecutive games.
After a scoreless hour, it was the Rapids who scored first, and it was once again Kristen Hamilton (above) doing the damage. Hamilton, named the W-League Player of the Week, knocked home a pass from Anna Evans to break the scoring in 66'.
The home side equalized 10 minutes later off a goal from Najma Homidi.
However, a minute later it was Colorado captain Brooke Spence who put the Rapids back up with a goal off a pass from Karisa Price. Chloe Roberts put the game away in the 82' when she finished a pass from Hamilton.
At 5-4-2 (17 points) the Rapids sit in third place - two behind Pali Blues - in the Western Conference with one match to go, on July 11 against the LA Strikers at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The top two teams from the West will qualify for the playoffs. Pal
