Power Rankings Week 25: Don't look now, Rapids eyeing top spot

Each week we will take a look at where the Colorado Rapids stand in the weekly Power Rankings on national soccer media websites.

The two newest Rapids debuted in a huge Week 25 matchup against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Thanks to goals from Deshorn Brown and Edson Buddle, the Rapids soared to a 2-0 victory over Vancouver and the team is now in sole possession of 2nd place in the Western Conference and tied for 2nd in the overall in MLS standings.

Colorado's league-high nine-match unbeaten run continued this weekend as they defeated Vancouver at home. Deshorn Brown and Edson Buddle were the unexpected goalscorers for the Rapids as they pulled off their fifth win of the unbeaten run.
