Headline of the Day | Mexico stun reigning champ Germany

Hirving "Chucky" Lozano scored to put Mexico in front in the 35th minute and 'El Tri' held on for the first real upset of the 2018 World Cup. This was the third consecutive World Cup that the reigning champions failed to win their opening match in the subsequent tournament. Italy drew Paraguay in 2010 and Spain infamously fell 5-1 to the Netherlands in 2014.

Elsewhere, Neymar and Brazil were held to a 1-1 draw against Switzerland, and Serbia defeated Costa Rica 1-0.
