The LA Galaxy are hoping to snap a three-match losing streak when they host the Colorado Rapids, but they'll have to do so without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was handed a two-game ban by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for violent conduct against New York City FC.

The Galaxy (7-4-1) fell to NYCFC, 2-0, at home last Saturday, conceding first half goals by Heber and Maxi Moralez. Ibrahimovic, who has nine goals, good for second in MLS, was not only held scoreless, but also earned a two-match suspension for placing his hands around the neck of NYCFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson four minutes from full time.

The Rapids (0-9-2) remain the only MLS team without a win after falling to rival Real Salt Lake at home, 3-2, in a Rocky Mountain Cup showdown. It was their eighth straight defeat. Kellyn Acosta and Danny Wilson erased early goals by Albert Rusnak and Corey Baird, but just six minutes after equalizing, the Rapids conceded the eventual winner by Sam Johnson in the 53rd minute.
