In the Community | Rapids celebrate school counselors for their work during Mental Health Awareness Month

As a part of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Colorado Rapids are recognizing School Counselors from schools near Commerce City to thank them for making such an impact on their school and their community. In the spotlight this week is Mrs. Elaina Huff from Smoky Hill High School in Aurora! Elaina has worked closely with one of the Rapids' New Day partners, Project Helping, to bring a Kynd Kit program into the school to help improve student's mental health through volunteering and various projects. Mrs. Huff was recently recognized for her work at the Limelight Gala hosted by Project Helping, and the Rapids wanted to thank her with a New Day kit, along with tickets to our Mental Health Awareness Night Game on May 27th where the kits will be worn for the first and only time this season at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park.
