COMMERCE CITY CO - The Class VI Colorado Rapids supporters club today announced plans to host a "2009 Season Kickoff Bash" as part of the 2009 Rapids Week celebrations!
Fans of all ages are invited to attend the Supporters Kickoff Bash on Sunday March 22 from 6-8pm to help kick off the 2009 Rapids season in proper fashion!
The event will be held at the Cantina at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and admission is free. Fans are encouraged to attend and bring their friends who want to find out more about joining a Rapids supporters club. There'll be raffles games a silent auction food and drinks available for purchase and more so stop on by!
It’s a great way for current supporters club members to get caught up and fired up about the upcoming season as well as a chance to introduce new fans to what the Class VI supporters club is all about!
Gary Smith the Rapids’ new Head Coach will be on hand to mingle with fans and discuss the club’s vision for the upcoming season and the future.
The event will also feature a silent auction consisting of fantastic prizes including exclusive Colorado Rapids items and experiences.

Rapids Week 2009 will feature a week-long series of events starting on Sat. March 21 with a different event taking place every day designed to build excitement leading up to Opening Day on Saturday March 28! Celebrate the kickoff of the Rapids’ 14th season as the Rapids organization including players coaches staff and mascots as well as the club's fans participate in public events every day of the week!
