COMMERCE CITY CO (ColoradoRapids.com) - For the second straight year defender Stephen Keel led the Rapids Reserves to conquer the MLS Reserve Division coordinating the Rapids' defense and leading them all the way to their back-to-back championship title.
For his efforts Keel was recognized by Major League Soccer Magazine as their 2007 MLS Reserve Division Player of the Year.
"I am honored to have received this award. I would like to thank all the fans for coming out and supporting us throughout the year. I would also like to thank all the coaches and the staff for taking the time and effort into preparing the reserve team to be back-to-back champions.

Keel led all players on the Rapids Reserve team in minutes played with 900. He was the heart of an unbeaten
defense (7-0-3) which surrendered only eight goals in 10 games. He also recorded one goal and one assist on the season from his defensive position. Colorado
Following the season Keel was awarded the club's "Rapids Reserve Team Most Valuable Player" for the second consecutive year as well as part of the team's year-end player awards.
Other Rapids players honored by MLS Magazine were Bouna Coundoul as goalkeeper for the All-Foreign Team and midfielder Colin Clark on the All-Developmental Squad.
