COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Saturday, October 26, 2013) – The Colorado Rapids have clinched qualification for the MLS Cup Playoffs, which will begin next week. Colorado plays its final regular season match on Sunday night at 6 p.m. MT in Vancouver, and will learn its first round opponent and date following the game. The Rapids are currently in 5th place but could still finish as high as 2nd in the Western Conference.
Colorado, which has set single-season franchise records for wins (14) and points (51) in 2013, sealed qualification on Saturday based on San Jose’s 2-1 win over FC Dallas, which left the Earthquakes (14-11-9, 51 points) short of Colorado in the standings on tiebreakers.
Tickets for the Rapids’ potential playoff matchups are already on sale by clicking here or by calling 303-825-GOAL, starting at $29 for all possible rounds, excluding MLS Cup.
