About Rapids 2:
Rapids 2 will participate in the inaugural season in the league. While we have been happy with the returns from our USL affiliations, the addition of this team gives us full control of and the ability to include more players in this critical development phase. Our current player development program offerings will evolve to the following beginning in January 2022:

  • Colorado Rapids (MLS)
  • Colorado Rapids 2 (MLS NEXT Pro)
  • U17 Academy Team
  • U15 Academy Team
  • U14 Academy
  • Futures Program
  • Alliance Program (CRYSC, Rio Rapids, Black Hills Rapids)

About MLS NEXT Pro:
MLS NEXT Pro is a US Soccer sanctioned Division 3 league, that will begin play in the spring of 2022. This league will provide a professional platform that will bridge the gap between our Academy and our First Team. The league will allow for participation by Academy players on amateur contracts, players signed directly to Rapids 2, and players on loan from the first team.

Fraud Notice

Rapids 2 is aware that individuals outside of the organization have been impersonating club staff via social media to solicit money for fake trials or contracts. To avoid this scam, please be aware of the following:

  • Our staff will never NEVER use social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc) to recruit potential players or coaches.
  • We will NEVER charge or ask for money via Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, CashApp, cryptocurrency, etc.
  • We NEVER send e-mails from a public email account such as Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc. If an email doesn’t not come from an official @coloradorapids email account, it is fake.
