Colorado Rapids 2 announce end of year roster updates

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Colorado Rapids 2 have announced several roster updates following the conclusion of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season. The club will have three players from the current roster return under contract for the 2027 MLS NEXT Pro season. 

Players under contract for next season include; midfielder Jonny De La Fuente, forward Chris Aquino, and defender Vincent Rinaldi. 

Midfielder Nathan Tchoumba will enter the 2027 season on a first team contract as a Homegrown player. 

The club is currently in discussions regarding the loan option for defender Luis García and the 2027 contract option for Jabari De Coteau. 

The club has chosen to decline the options on forward Josh Copeland and defender Charlie Harper. 

Defender James Cameron, midfielder Rogelio Garcia and defender Kai Thomas are out of contract.
