COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – The Colorado Rapids announced today the club has called up Vincent Rinaldi and Bryan Dowd from the club’s MLS NEXT Pro side on Short-Term Agreements. The pair will be available for selection for the Rapids’ MLS regular season match against Columbus Crew on Saturday, September 5.
Rinaldi, 19, is receiving his third Short-Term Agreement of the 2026 MLS season. In MLS NEXT Pro this season, Rinaldi has logged seven appearances and 599 minutes played. The Aurora, Colorado, native signed with Rapids 2 in August 2025, becoming the sixth Rapids Academy product to sign a Rapids 2 contract since the team began play in MLS NEXT Pro in 2022.
Dowd, 24, is receiving his second Short-Term Agreement as a member of the Rapids, but his fourth and final for the 2026 MLS Season. The goalkeeper was acquired by Rapids 2 this past July from FC Cincinnati 2, where he spent the beginning of the 2026 season. Since joining, Dowd has made four appearances for Rapids 2 with 450 minutes logged.
Per the 2026 MLS Roster Rules and Regulations, a club may sign a player, aged 25 or younger during the league season, from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days). An individual player may be included on up to four MLS league season match rosters each season, however, that player may appear in no more than two MLS league season matches. An individual player may appear in any number of non-league games during the terms of his four Short-Term Agreements.
