Colorado Rapids 2 will face off against Ventura County FC on Sunday, Oct. 5, at William Rolland Stadium for the team’s final regular season match of 2025. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. MT with coverage available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

The last match of the regular season will determine Rapids 2’s seeding as the team heads into the 2025 playoffs. As it stands, Colorado sits in third in the Western Conference, but a win will be necessary to solidify their standing as they head into the postseason.

Should Colorado drop points on Sunday night, there is a potential that Real Monarchs could jump the Rapids in the standings. A fourth-place finish would still allow Colorado to host a home game during the first round of playoffs, but it would leave the team with the last pick in the pick-your-opponent process where seeds No. 1-4 select their first-round match ups from seeds No. 5-8.

The postseason run will mark the team’s first since 2023 where Rapids 2 made a run all the way to the Western Conference Final.

Looking ahead to this weekend’s match, Colorado will take on Ventura County for the first time this season. The two sides last met in June of 2024, where they battled to a 2-2 draw at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium with VCFC earning the additional point on the night with a shootout win.

The visiting side joins Colorado in the 2025 postseason in seventh place in the Western Conference. Ventura County qualified for the playoffs for the first time last season but were knocked out by Tacoma Defiance in a 4-0 win.

So far this season, Ventura County has struggled to string together consistent performances at home having only recorded four wins so far this season at William Rolland Stadium. Meanwhile, Colorado has stayed dialed in on the road with a winning 7-3-3 record.
