Colorado Rapids 2 (3-17-7, 18 pts., 14th West) will finish their season in their matchup against North Texas SC (8-9-10, 40 pts., 8th West) on Sunday, September 20. Kickoff at University of Denver Soccer Stadium is set for 3:00 p.m. MT with coverage available on OneFootball.com and MLSNEXTPro.com.

Eager to end their season on a high note, Rapids 2 will look to rebound after falling to Austin FC II last weekend on the road. Facing the Western Conference leaders, Colorado stood firm for nearly the full 90 minutes. Even so, Austin would eventually find their way through in the second minute of stoppage time to pull out a late win.

Meeting for the third and final time this season, Colorado will close out their season with a series finale against North Texas SC on Sunday. North Texas is currently in the hunt for a playoff spot, hoping to at least hold on to eighth in the standings for the opportunity to continue their postseason plans. In their latest outing, North Texas prevailed in a shootout against Houston Dynamo 2 to claim the extra point after battling to a scoreless draw.

Heading into this weekend’s matchup, both sides will look to tip the series in their favor, with each club earning a win in the previous two meetings. After dropping the first result to North Texas at the beginning of the season, Colorado came back in their second contest with a 90th minute banger to secure three points at home in July. Rapids 2’s James Cameron delivered the late winner, volleying home from a corner kick to seal the victory.
