Academy Update: Rapids score 29 goals over the weekend across all teams -

Colorado Rapids U-18/19s were held for the first 39 minutes by Colorado Rush last weekend in their U.S. Soccer Development Academy encounter at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park, before Enoch Mushagalusa set them on their way to a 5-0 win.

Mushagalusa smashed a hat-trick in the space of eight minutes, either side of the break, with further goals coming from Milo Garvanian and Luis Arreola.

There was a clean sheet for the U-16/17s, as they defeated Rush 4-0. Logan Dorsey (2), Cole Bassett, and Noah Boettiger were the scorers.

The U-15s went even better, defeating Rush 6-1, albeit with six different scorers. The side raced into a 2-0 inside the opening eight minutes, through Luis Reyes and Vladimir Walent. The remaining scores came from Mario Ramirez, Samuel Bassett, Zamir Monsivais, and Adan Perez.

Darren Yapi bagged three as the U-14s got the better of Rush in their meeting. Luke Robinson started, and Yahir Carreon-Lazos completed, the 5-0 victory.

It was a similar picture for the U-13s, with goals from Ezekiel Anderson, Keith Chavarria, Alexander Jordan, Sureel McCain, and Kevin Tlaxcalteco.

The U-12s were not so fortunate. Both teams were beaten by Rush. The A team lost 2-1, with a goal from Ibrahim Al-Saaid. The B team fell short by four goals to three, with Simeon Woldeyohannes (2) and Max Simpson on the scoresheet.

The U-15s, U-16/17s, and U-18/19s are home to Houston Dynamo this Saturday. The U-12s, U-13s, and U-14s travel to Centennial to tackle Colorado Storm at Gates Soccer Complex.
