Four Colorado Rapids Development Academy teams, across three age groups, played eight games over the weekend.

Highlight of the two days were back-to-back hat-tricks from Ezekiel Anderson, as the U-13s defeated both Colorado Rush and Colorado Storm by a 4-0 scoreline. In each game, the fourth goal came from Kevin Tlaxcalteco. Anderson now boasts an impressive 13 goals from just six games.

The U-14s tied 2-2 at Colorado Rush on Saturday, before defeating Colorado Storm 2-0 on Sunday. They led 2-0 at the interval against Rush, through Luke Robinson and Maclovio Swett, only to concede twice after the break, with Chase Ripley bagging both for the home side.

Goals at the end of each half, via Tomas Alberola and Alan Salgado, ensured victory for Marcelo Balboa’s team the following day.

The two U-12 teams began with a 2-2 tie and a 2-1 loss to Rush on Saturday. They followed this with a 2-1 and 10-1 win, respectively, over Storm on Sunday. Ren Garfield netted four in the 10-1 success for the B team. The A team went a goal down after 11 seconds, before recovering.

All age groups resume duties on April 7, with the U-12, U-13 and U-14 home to FC Boulder. The U-15, U-16/17 and U-18/19 teams are at FC Dallas on the same day.
