Goalkeeper Kainoa Likewise came up big for the Colorado Rapids’ Development Academy U-18/19s at Dallas Texans on Saturday as the visitors won 3-0.

With his side 2-0 up, Likewise - who spent much of the year on-loan at the Rapids' USL affiliate Charlotte Independence - kept the Texans off the scoresheet with a penalty save. At the other end, goals from Sami Owusu, Matt Hundley, and Greg Tracey sealed the victory.

An own-goal 16 minutes from time gave the U-16/17s a 2-1 win at the Texans. The Rapids had earlier taken the lead 16 minutes into the contest, through Cole Bassett. Erik Bushey’s team are 6-2-1 as they sit second in the Frontier Central Division.

For the second week in a row, the U-15s finished 1-1 in their game against a Texas team. Six days on from a tie with Houston Dynamo at home, the U-15s snatched a point with five minutes remaining. Cesar Carbajal was the scorer. That result kept them second in the conference, one point ahead of the Texans.

The U-14s, U-13s, and U-12s were all at home against FC Boulder. Four goals from Alan Salgado helped the U-14s to a 6-0 win. Banyon Lyon and Luke Robinson were also on target. Salgado now has 12 goals from 14 games, of which just five have been starts.

Elsewhere, the U-13s triumphed 2-0, with goals from Ezekiel Anderson and Sureel McCain. The two U-12s sides, meanwhile, won 5-1 - with four goals from Ibrahim Al Saaid - and tied 1-1.
