Despite being without Matthew Hundley, who is with the US U-19s at the Slovakia Cup, the Colorado Rapids U-18/19s were still too strong for Houston Dynamo last weekend, winning 3-0 at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park.

Cole Bassett set them on their way early, with the opener after just two minutes. Jayson Baca doubled the advantage 10 minutes before the break, before Corey Williams added a third in the latter stages.

The U-16/17s also bagged three in their 3-1 victory over the Dynamo. All of the goals came in the second half. Logan Dorsey struck twice, after Oliver Larraz had given the Rapids the lead.

Both the U-18/19s and U-16/17s sit second in their respective standings, behind FC Dallas, with just a handful of games remaining and the playoffs looming.

The Rapids’ U-15s were downed 2-1 by the Dynamo, with both Houston goals coming from the penalty spot. Samuel Bassett scored a late consolation for the Rapids, as they fell to only their fourth loss in 18 games.

All three senior DA sides are on the road this coming weekend, when they travel to Houston.

Banyon Lyon scored four in the U-14s’ 8-1 win at Colorado Storm. With their strikes Darren Yapi and Alan Salgado now have 21 and 20 goals on the season, respectively. Other scores came from Greyson Mitchell and Daniel Garcia.

Things were a little tighter on Sunday, but the U-14s still emerged triumphant, defeating Real Colorado 2-1 away from home. Maclovio Swett bagged the brace.

The U-13sscored seven without reply in their two weekend encounters. Zack Salfi (2) and Jacob Lahlou netted against Storm on Saturday, before Ezekial Anderson ran the show on Sunday with all four goals against Real.

Having scored for the U-13s on Saturday, Lahlou was on target twice for the U-12s’ A team on Sunday in a 2-2 tie with Real. The team had managed a 2-1 win over Storm a day earlier, courtesy of Andre Romo and Ibrahim Al-Saaid.

The B team triumphed twice in successive days, defeating Storm 4-1, with goals from Simeon Woldeyohannes (2), Luis Garcia, and Theo Scott, before overcoming Real 3-1 thanks to Dex Rhody, Max Simpson and Yehoshua Robles.
