COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The Colorado Rapids announced today that the club has acquired an international roster spot from St. Louis CITY SC that will expire at the end of 2027. In exchange, St. Louis receives Colorado Rapids 2 goalkeeper Zackory Campagnolo on loan for the remainder of the 2026 MLS season. St. Louis will also hold an option to permanently acquire Campagnolo following the conclusion of the loan.
Campagnolo, 19, signed his first professional contract with Rapids 2 on March 18, 2025. Over the course of his career in MLS NEXT Pro, the goalkeeper made 36 appearances in net, logging 3,151 minutes over the course of three seasons. Â
The Fort Myers, Florida, native joined the Rapids organization at the start of the 2023 season. He started his time with the U-17 Rapids Academy team during the 2023-24 MLS NEXT season and appeared for multiple age groups before competing solely with Rapids 2 in MLS NEXT Pro. Â
