Colorado Rapids acquire up to $1.7m in GAM from CF Montréal

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. The Colorado Rapids announced today that the club has acquired $1.4 million in General Allocation Money (GAM) from CF Montréal in exchange for forward Dante Sealy. The fee will be split over two years, with $400,000 accounting for 2026 GAM and $1,000,000 for 2027 GAM. Colorado could receive up to an additional $300,000 in conditional GAM if certain performance metrics are met.

“We want to thank Dante for his time with the club and wish him the best going forward in his career,” said Colorado Rapids President Pádraig Smith. 

Sealy, 23, joined the Rapids from CF Montréal ahead of the 2026 season. The forward made 23 appearances across all competitions for Colorado, recording one goal and six assists.
