The Colorado Rapids have announced the promotion of three members of their technical staff into new roles with the first team.
Elliot Prost – First Team Assistant Coach
Prost has been promoted to First Team Assistant Coach after initially joining the club in 2021 as an Academy coach focused on the U-17 age group. In his new role, Prost will support Head Coach Chris Armas and the technical staff in the planning, execution, and evaluation of daily training sessions, as well as match preparation and in-game analysis. He will also assist in managing player communication, team meetings, and coordination with support staff.
Kyle Porter – Performance Director
Porter steps into the role of Performance Director in his third season with the club, having previously served as the First Team Strength & Conditioning Coach. He joined the Rapids as Academy S&C Coach and transitioned to the first team in 2024. As Performance Director, Porter will oversee all aspects of player performance, including strength and conditioning, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and wellness. He works closely with Senior Director of Sports Science Felix Proessl and Head Athletic Trainer Rick Guter at the first team level as well as ensuring integrated performance standards across the first team, second team, and academy.
Padraic Farrell – First Team Video Analyst
Farrell has been named First Team Video Analyst after serving the same role for Rapids 2 since 2023. In his new role, Farrell will provide detailed analysis of matches and training sessions, assist with opposition scouting, and help communicate the club’s playing philosophy through video. He will also deliver in-game video reviews and post-match reports to support tactical planning and performance review.
