Colorado Rapids forward Sayed Abu Farkhi called up to Israel Men’s National Team

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Colorado Rapids forward Sayed Abu Farkhi has been named to the Israeli Men’s National Team for its upcoming Nations League matches, the association announced today. Farkhi will join the group from September 21 to October 5 for four matches.

Farkhi and Israel will start schedule with a matchup on the road against Austria on September 24. The group will return home for two matchups, one against Ireland on September 27 and another against Kosovo on October 1. They will then round out their schedule with a second match against Ireland on the road on October 4. 

Farkhi, 20, recently made his senior national team debut this past June in a friendly against Albania. Over the course of his career, he has made multiple appearances within Israeli youth national team squads across the U16, U17, U19, and U21 levels.  

The striker is receiving his first international call up since joining Colorado on September 1 of this year. In his short time with the club so far, Farkhi has made two appearances, including his club debut on September 12 against CF Montréal.
