COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Tuesday, May 21, 2013) – The Colorado Rapids will visit Orlando City SC of the USL Professional Division (USL Pro) next Tuesday, May 28 in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The match, which will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. MT) at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, is the Rapids’ first match in the 2013 Open Cup.

The Rapids, along with other MLS teams, start their participation in the U.S. Open Cup in the third round, and will visit Orlando of the third-tier USL Pro because Colorado lost the coin toss to host the game. Orlando defeated the semi-professional Ocala Stampede 2-1 on Tuesday night in Ocala, Fla. to advance to the third round. The Third Round matchups were set by U.S. Soccer last week.
