Colorado Rapids striker, Deshorn Brown, has been named in Jamaica's squad for the friendly international against Canada, to be played at Toronto FC's BMO Field on Tuesday, September 9.

Canada is is winless in its last 16 international matches, dating back to a 3-0 victory against Cuba in World Cup qualifying back on Oct. 12, 2012. This will be Canada's first home match under new head coach Benito Floro, who took charge last August after a dismal Gold Cup.

With the Jamaican national team, Brown played a pair of World Cup qualifiers at the end of 2013, and has two goals in his five total appearances with his country.

He last played against Serbia, at Red Bull Arena in May. His international debut came last October, when he played the full 90 minutes in a World Cup qualifier against the USA.

Brown is the club's leading scorer, having netted eight goals in 22 appearances. The second-year pro scored a team-leading ten goals in his rookie season, and finished just behind teammate Dillon Powers in the AT&T MLS Rookie of the Year.
