2018.08.30 POTM

Nominees for the Colorado Rapids HealthONE Player of the Month are here! Be sure to vote for the player you think is most deserving of the honors following the month of August. The winner will be announced on Friday, September 1.

The first nominee is Kevin Doyle. The Irishman started all five matches this month and finished off a beautiful back-heel from Marlon Hairston in the 2-2 draw with Vancouver to notch his fifth goal of 2017.

Mohammed Saeid is the second nominee for the August Player of the Month. The Swedish midfielder tallied his first-ever MLS goal against Portland after he picked off Lawrence Olum’s pass in the attacking third, and finished off the play himself with a right boot. Overall, he started in all five matches, created six chances, and completed 84.6 percent of his passes.

The final nominee for the August POTM is Centennial 38. The independent supporters group for the club had a phenomenal performance in the road match against Real Salt Lake. 140 members traveled 524 miles and invaded Rio Tinto Stadium with their spirit, pride and tradition, selling out their allotment of away tickets.
