Why It Matters

The FIFA U-20 World Cup has produced some of the sport’s biggest stars and remains a platform for players who later impact senior national teams.

  • Adam Beaudry arrives with valuable youth international experience, including starts at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup and the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship. His development through the Rapids Academy reflects Colorado’s commitment to producing elite talent.
  • Noah Cobb has been a steady presence in the U.S. backline, logging significant minutes in Concacaf qualifying while contributing MLS minutes since joining the Rapids midseason.
  • Lucas Herrington is an 18-year-old defender from Brisbane who recently signed a long-term deal with the Rapids beginning in 2026. He already owns professional experience with Brisbane Roar and was part of the Australia squad that won the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup, securing their qualification for this World Cup.
