Nashville SC became the second USL team to knock an MLS team out of the U.S. Open Cup in as many nights, defeating the Colorado Rapids 2-0 at Vanderbilt Stadium.

Nashville's first-half pressure on Colorado's defense led to the opening goal in the 39th minute — an own goal by Micheal Azira that came in reaction to a Justin Davis cross. In the 78th minute, Nashville's insurance goal came thanks to Ropapa Mensah, who headed in a Liam Doyle cross to give the home crowd some instant Music City soccer history.
