Rapids Academy Enjoys Remarkable Weekend
This weekend, the Rapids Academy was in action in the U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 age groups, and the teams saw massive success across the board. The club scored 53 goals across 10 games, going undefeated on the weekend. The results were headlined by Cain Castellon, who had a hat trick in the U-16s 10-1 victory over RISE SC, and Leonardo Soltero, who also had scored three goals in the U-13's 7-1 win. For the U-19s, Rapids Homegrown signee Darren Yapi had two goals in a 5-1 win also against RISE SC and he also scored in a 3-2 victory the day before with the U-17 squad.
The results this weekend are part of a very successful month of May that saw the Rapids Academy move up 21 spots to fourth in the Top 100 Boys Soccer Clubs by Soccer Wire.

Watch Kellyn Acosta and the USMNT this Sunday!
While Kellyn Acosta will be out of the Rapids lineup on Saturday, you can catch him in action with the USMNT this Sunday when Team USA takes on No. 13 Switzerland on May 30 at Noon MT on ESPN and UniMás. This match will serve as preparation for next week, when the USMNT compete in the final four of the inaugural Concacaf Nations League right here in Denver. Click here for ticket information.

While this Saturday’s match will continue to operate at our limited, socially distanced capacity, we are excited to announce that as of July 4 we will return to full capacity for the first time since March 2020!
