COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Rapids Academy midfielder Xavier Soria has been called up to the Mexican U-15 Youth National Team for their upcoming international friendlies. The call up marks his first within the Mexican Youth National Team system.Â
The midfielder joined the U-16 group on April 12 in California for their upcoming pair of matches. Soria and the group will match up against the United States in both friendlies, with one coming on April 16 and the other on April 19.Â
Soria, 15, joined the Rapids Academy system through the Futures Program in 2022. In MLS NEXT play this season, the midfielder has been playing up an age group with the Rapids Academy U-16 side, where he has logged 1,364 minutes. Most recently, Soria excelled at this year’s GA Cup, where he logged three assists.
