Rapids blank LAFC 1-0 for fourth consecutive home shutout victory

The Big Picture

  • The Rapids secured their fourth consecutive shutout at home on Wednesday night, defeating LAFC 1-0 at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park. 
  • The clean sheet streak marks the second-longest in club history. 
  • Midfielder Youssef Maziz lined up for the free kick resulting in the Rapids' lone goal of the night in the 22nd minute. The ball sent into the box was deflected off LAFC's Jeremy Ebobisse and found the back of the net early. Wednesday night also marked Maziz's first start with the Rapids. 
  • Goalkeeper Nico Hansen recorded his fifth clean sheet of the season, extending his single-season career high.
