Recap | Rapids fall to LA Galaxy in road contest

The Big Picture 

• The Colorado Rapids dropped their road result with LA Galaxy 3-2 at Dignity Health Sports Park.
• Forward Donavan Phillip recorded his second goal of the season and of his MLS career, striking early in the 4th minute.
• Midfielder Josh Atencio recorded his third assist of the season and the seventh of his MLS career on Phillip’s goal.  
• Defender Jackson Travis recorded his second assist of the season on Phillip’s goal. Travis returned to the starting lineup on Saturday for the first time since May after battling injury.
• Midfielder Paxten Aaronson recorded his seventh goal of the season in the 39th minute. The Designated Player Aaronson has now recorded five goal contributions in his last three MLS appearances (3g, 2a)
