- Three Rapids make their Leagues Cup debut against Cruz Azul (Hansen, Wathuta, Cobb), while Wathuta and Cobb both make their first team debuts and first starts in Thursday night's matchup.
- Midfielder Alex Harris makes his first start since joining the club following the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. Harris made his first-team debut in the Rapids’ Concacaf Champions Cup match with LAFC in February and has since logged two more appearances with the club.
- Wathuta earned his second short-term call up to the first team for Thursday's Leagues Cup match. In accordance with the 2025 MLS Roster Rules and Regulations, a club may sign a player, age 25 or younger during the league season, from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days).
- Goalkeeper Hansen makes his first start between the posts since the Rapids' match with LAFC on July 9.
- Brothers Cole and Sam Bassett start a match together for the first time since Sam's signing to a Homegrown contract in January. Sam has made 13 appearances for the first team since debuting in the Rapids' Concacaf Champions Cup contest with LAFC to begin the 2025 season.
