- After a number of debuts and first starts for the Rapids squad against Cruz Azul in Leagues Cup play on Thursday, Colorado sees many regular starters back in the XI, including goalkeeper Zack Steffen, Calvin Harris and Oliver Larraz.
- 20-year-old defender Noah Cobb returns to the Starting XI for the second game in a row since arriving to the Rapids on loan from Atlanta United. Cobb played all 90 minutes against Cruz Azul.
- Midfielder Ted Ku-DiPietro returns to the gameday selection after missing Thursday's Leagues Cup match due to injury.
- After making his first-team debut against Cruz Azul last week, Sydney Wathuta earned his third short-term call up to the first team for Sunday's MLS match. In accordance with the 2025 MLS Roster Rules and Regulations, a club may sign a player, age 25 or younger during the league season, from its affiliate (MLS NEXT Pro) to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) each season (maximum of 16 days).
