MLS CAREER

Pfeffer was the fourth youngest player ever to sign a MLS contract, behind Freddy Adu, Fuad Ibrahim, and Diego Fagundez. Pfeffer made his official MLS debut on September 17, 2011 against the Columbus Crew.

2016

  • Pfeffer did not feature in MLS in 2016, though he did make 16 appearances for USL affiliate Charlotte Independence.
  • He was in the Rapids' 18 for the 0-0 home tie with San Jose Earthquakes on September 17, and the 3-3 tie at Vancouver Whitecaps FC on September 24.

2015

  • Prior to the 2015 season, Pfeffer had managed just nine MLS appearances for the Philadelphia Union in the previous four seasons.
  • In 2015, Pfeffer featured in 21 of the Union's 34 regular season games, starting 11 of them, for 988 minutes - all career-high numbers.
  • Another career-high for Pfeffer in 2015 were his two goals, scored the opener in a 2-1 home win over New York City FC (4/11) and the game-winner in a 1-0 home victory over D.C. United (5/17), having come on as an 71st minute substitute.
  • The Union's Homegrown Player also grabbed his first assist in MLS, which came in the 3-2 loss at D.C. United (7/26).
  • For the second year in a row, Pfeffer featured in the Chipotle Homegrown Game versus the Under-20 side of Mexican giants Club América, played at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. 2014

  • He participated in All-Star weekend festivities by being named to the MLS Homegrown roster, a squad that faced the Portland Timbers U-23 team.

Youth/Club

  • Member of Philadelphia’s U-17 squad that competed in the MLS U-17 SUM Cup in Houston, Texas.
  • While training with the first team, the youngster entered as a substitute in a friendly against Chivas Guadalajara on September 1, 2010, when aged just 15. He had his game jersey signed by the entire 2010 Union squad. The name on the back of the jersey read Peffer!
  • Represented the United States at the U-14 and U-15 levels and trained at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fl., as part of U.S. Soccer’s U-17 residency program.
  • Was a member of the U-15/U-16 USSF FC Delco Academy, as well as the Upper Dublin, Cheltenham, YMS, and Montgomery United youth clubs.

International

  • Was one of 19 players called-up to the U.S. U-20 team for a September 2014 camp in Argentina. He scored the lone goal in a 1-1 draw with the hosts, Argentina.
  • In April 2014, Pfeffer was called up to the U-20 team to take part in the Dallas Cup. He played in four out of the five games, scored one goal and handed out two assists.
