Pablo Won't Face Brazil: Despite being named by Bob Bradley to the US National Team earlier this week Pablo Mastroeni won't be making the trip to face Brazil this Sunday. Bradley has called in Kansas City Wizards midfielder Kerry Zavagnin to replace Mastroeni who is still recovering from an illness that forced him out at halftime of the Rapids' 1-1 draw at Columbus this past Sunday.
Reserves Pick up 4 Points: In the span of four days last week the Rapids Reserves picked up four points in two games to remain unbeaten. On Thursday Jose Cancela Nico Colaluca and Omar Cummings scored as the Reserves beat Toronto 3-2. The team then came back from a two-goal halftime deficit to tie the Crew Reserves 2-2 with Cancela and Cummings getting the goals. The Reserves will play their final road contest of the season when they take on the Galaxy Reserves this Sunday.

Fernando Clavijo on the last game vs. Colombus:
"I thought we possessed the ball really well in the first half. We went forward with numbers and created opportunities but we need to finish them. I thought Conor Casey had two clear chances to score in the first have and it could have changed the momentum. In the 45th minute we allowed them to finish in their first chance to score. At the end of the day we kept pushing forward and sending numbers up and it paid off. We were not as good as previous games creating from the outsides. Overall I thought it was a great point on the road against a team that is directly challenging us for the playoffs."
Fernando Clavijo on Saturday's match-up vs. LA:
"We want to keep the momentum we have right now from not losing in four games. We have to make sure to keep adding points. We are not overlooking LA they are a very dangerous team. They are desperate and are looking for anything to turn things around. We have to be very careful. We have to make sure we are disciplined and keep attacking. We need to continue to create chances but we have to finish them something we didn’t do in the first half of the Columbus game. It will be a very difficult game so we have to be prepared. The attitude won’t change from our last four games."
