Colorado Rapids midfielder Jermaine Jones has been nominated for Major League Soccer's Player of the Month award for the month of April after making his debut for the Rapids against the New York Red Bulls in #SnowClasico2.
In only three games this season, Jones has scored two goals and notched two assists. Since stepping on the pitch for the Rapids, the club has scored at least two goals in each of the last three games and pushed to the top of the Western Conference and Supporters' Shield rankings, silencing any criticism of the club's offensive production that may linger from last season.
Jones was also picked for the U.S. Men's National Team's preliminary roster heading into Copa America Centenario. If he's selected to the final roster on May 23 by head coach Jurgen Klinnsman, Jones will join the U.S. team as they participate in the 10-city tournament taking place in the United States.
The final ballots will accepted for the monthly MLS award on Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET, cast your vote here.
