Notes:

First Win of 2020

The Rapids grabbed three points from D.C. United thanks to second-half goals from Kei Kamara and Jonathan Lewis to complete a leap-day comeback. Winning on the road to start the season was no small feat, as the Rapids 2-1 victory marked only the fourth time in club history that the Rapids opened a campaign with a win on the road.

Familiar Face

Orlando City SC head coach Oscar Pareja is no stranger to Colorado. On January 5, 2012, the Rapids singed Pareja to his first head coaching job. After finishing seventh in his debut season, Pareja led the Rapids to playoffs in 2013. Pareja was the Rapids head coach from 2012-2014.

All-Time Great

With his strike against D.C. United, Kei Kamara is now just seven goals away from surpassing Jaime Moreno (134) for fourth-most goals in MLS history and eight goals away from eclipsing Jeff Cunningham (135) on the all-time list. Kamara has scored in his first appearance in each of his last three MLS seasons. Recently, Kei Kamara also received a formal induction into the CCAA Hall of Fame class of 2020.

MLS Team of the Week

Head coach Robin Fraser was named the MLS Coach of the Week for his efforts in leading the team to the come-from-behind victory.

The new Colorado captain, Jack Price, also earned a spot on Team of the Week. Price continued to showcase his consistent play in central midfield and had a beautiful assist on Rapids first goal, a cross that was headed in by Kei Kamara

More Matches for Moor

Drew Moor has  now made 181 regular season appearances for the Rapids after starting against D.C. last Saturday. Only club legend Pablo Mastroeni has made more (225).
