The Colorado Rapids will look to rebound on Wednesday when the team travels to Texas to take on FC Dallas. A quick turnaround gives Robin Fraser's side the opportunity to turn the page after a 4-1 home loss to Real Salt Lake on Saturday night.

“The focus for Wednesday is to put things right that we felt that we left out there in the Salt Lake game,” Drew Moor said. “Obviously, a disappointing result, but it's a quick turnaround against Dallas.”

Colorado sits eighth in the West with a 2-3-1 record, just below the playoff line. Dallas is 1-1-3, which leaves them in tenth.

Dallas is coming off a 0-0 draw with the Houston Dynamo in the Texas Derby and have five total matches under their belt after departing early from the MLS is Back Tournament due to COVID-19 concerns. Dallas started the 2020 season strong, with a 2-0 win over Philadelphia and a 2-2 draw with Montreal, but have struggled since returning to play, failing to score a goal in their August games. Luchi Gonzalez and his squad have 0-1-2 in those contests.

This will be Colorado's first true road match since February. With new safety protocols, the gameday travel process will be a little different, requiring the team to fly in and out on the same day.

“No excuses for Wednesday night,” Moor said. “Everything is a little bit different right now with every team. We don’t know exactly what that will look like yet, but we have a lot of strong characters on this team. We leave everything on the field, and we need to make sure we continue to do that.”

This will also be the first time Colorado has played in front of fans since returning to action in July. Dallas is currently allowing up to 5,000 fans in the stands.

Nicolas Benezet is set to return to the gameday roster on Wednesday night after missing the previous matches due to injury. Benezet started throughout the MLS is Back Tournament and is currently tied for the team lead in assists.
