Playoff Spot Within Reach

On Thursday, MLS announced that qualification for the 2020 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs would be determined on a points per game basis. Entering Sunday's match, the Rapids hold the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with 1.27 points per game. Colorado can clinch a playoff berth Sunday if they beat Seattle, Vancouver loses or draws against Portland AND Real Salt Lake and LA Galaxy end in a draw. All three scenarios need to happen for the Rapids to clinch a playoff spot.

Regular Season Home Finale

Tonight's match against Seattle will be Colorado's final home match of the 2020 regular season. The Rapids are 2-1-2 at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park in 2020. The Rapids have won their last three regular season home finales and are undefeated in their last four, dating back to 2016. Colorado is 5-3-5 all-time to close out the regular season at DSGP. Colorado will close the regular season with two road matches at Portland on November 4 and at Houston on November 8.

Shinyashiki Hitting His Stride

Andre Shinyashiki scored his third goal of 2020 on Wednesday in Minnesota. The 23-year-old has three goals and an assist in his last five games, giving him his best output in a five-game span in his nascent MLS career.
